Anxiety and Depression

Intrusive thoughts make life difficult.

Anxiety and depression can produce massive dislocations in our life.

They can distract us from our work, distance us from our relationships, dampen our enthusiasm for things that used to excite us, and make it difficult to take any risk in life.

Feeling anxious or depressed can keep us from appreciating what is right in front of our face and keep us focused on what we lack, what could go wrong, and what others might be thinking of us.

Seeking help is not an easy decision for you.

Maybe your struggles are a new experience, or it’s been a long time since you last felt like yourself.

Perhaps, you feel hesitant to even say the words, fearing that a label traps you in some way.

Maybe, you have just accepted anxiety and depression as a constant, and you’re losing hope of experiencing anything different.

Therapy can help!

For as long as I’ve been a therapist, I have worked with people who have battled anxiety and depression, and the results are consistently positive. Through therapy, my clients discover spaces of freedom from the intrusive thoughts and states of being that anxiety and depression cause, and in many cases, they find complete freedom from their symptoms.

We’re going to take a holistic approach to your circumstances. I want to know your story, about your formative years, and learn about your family of origin. We will look at your self-talk and the narratives you’ve formed about yourself and where you fit in this world.

You will learn coping skills and grounding techniques to get away from the noise of culture. Many of our talks will be about self-compassion, self-acceptance, resilience, and grit.

Spending your life feeling discouraged and disabled due to debilitating thoughts and depressive states is not how you need to live.
