Individual Therapy

We all get lost sometimes.

Life can be full of complexities and challenges which we never saw coming, and nobody prepared us for.

In these times, it’s so easy to feel lost.

Some people react to this feeling by trying to work harder, distract themselves, cope with any number of behaviors, or simply hoping it will pass with time.

Getting through what life throws at you is not always easy, and going at it alone can make things more complicated – keeping you stuck. But you don’t have to and should not have to go through it alone.

You can get through this.

This message is the first thing I want my clients to know.

You can get through this: anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, grief, relational strife, life transitions, or anything else.

I believe that these life dislocations can be used to discover within us strength and resiliency, which is truly transformational.

How it Works.

I want to listen and hear your story about how you feel about yourself, your relationships, and your life circumstances. I want to hear about your life’s journey and how you arrived at your current place in life. As much as you feel comfortable sharing, I want to listen to the good and bad.

As a therapist, I’ve been highly influenced by Jon Bowlby’s Attachment Theory and Howard Schwartz’s Internal Family Systems model, and we’ll talk about your current circumstances through these lenses. I want you to arrive at a place where your thoughts, feelings, and behavior make sense to you and clearly understand what growth and healing look like to you.

From that point, I am here to guide you toward that growth and healing. This dynamic process is deeply rewarding and could involve everything from practical adjustments to your daily habits, boundary setting, journaling activities, self-care habits, etc.

I am looking forward to working with you to help you arrive at a place of peace and wellness in your life.
